Beverage Expert Position at MONIN:
Supporting our customers and partners is at the heart of what we do. As Beverage Expert for Western Europe, you will be a trusted ambassador and liquid expert for MONIN, helping to elevate beverage experiences and drive brand desirability.
You act as a key bridge between local market realities and MONIN’s global strategy, working closely with Sales Directors, Brand Ambassadors and importers.
You are a credible professional with strong field experience, able to train, influence and inspire bartenders, baristas and commercial teams while contributing to strategic thinking at regional and global level.

We are seeking an experienced beverage professional with hands-on expertise as a bartender or barista and proven experience in training, education, or field activation. Above all, we’re looking for someone curious, proactive, and passionate about beverages, trends, and innovation, who thrives in a dynamic, international environment.
Your mission will be to bring MONIN to life in every market interaction and to be a credible, inspiring figure for all our partners.
Role & Responsibilities:
Brand Education & Training
Act as the lead professional trainer for the region.
Design and deliver beverage and bartending trainings for bartenders, baristas, HORECA professionals, importer sales teams, and key accounts.
Organise masterclasses and educational events with local Brand Ambassadors.
Ensure excellent product knowledge and correct usage of the MONIN portfolio across markets.
Field Activation & Trade Marketing Support
Support the execution of MONIN’s trade activation strategy in the region.
Contribute to the development and rollout of trade marketing tools in collaboration with HQ (menus, co-branding, POS, incentives, activation concepts).
Ensure brand consistency while allowing relevant local adaptation.
Key Accounts & Multi-Unit Development
Work closely with Sales Directors, Beverage Expert team, and Brand Ambassadors to support key accounts and multi-unit operators.
Develop tailored beverage solutions and recipes for different concepts (QSR, casual dining, coffee chains).
Present MONIN innovations and support new product launches in customer menus.
Participate in customer workshops, presentations, and concept development.
Portfolio & Market Expertise
Act as a portfolio consultant for local importers.
Introduce and support MONIN innovations and new product launches in the field.
Collect structured feedback from bartenders, customers, and partners on products, recipes, formats, market relevance, and unmet needs.
Identify local trends, consumer insights, and channel dynamics (bars, coffee shops, casual dining, leisure, cash & carry, e-commerce).
Contribute to regional and global discussions on portfolio and flavour development.
Brand Ambassador Coordination
Work in close collaboration with local Brand Ambassadors.
Provide guidance, tools, and best practices.
Review monthly activity reports and give qualitative feedback.
Share cross-market best practices and success stories.
Reporting & Strategy Feedback
Collect and structure market insights from the field.
Provide regular feedback to Sales Directors and Global Trade Marketing on trends, opportunities, competitive landscape, activation and innovation performance.
Be responsible for quarterly regional beverage reporting with qualitative analysis.
Global Beverage Expert Community
Actively participate in EMEA Beverage Expert meetings.
Share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of MONIN’s global standards.
Education, Skills & Experience Required:
Hands-on experience as a bartender and/or barista.
Proven ability to train, inspire, and transmit knowledge.
Experience in training, brand activation, or field roles. Sales or marketing experience is a plus.
Excellent presentation and storytelling skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Commercial mindset with understanding of HORECA and key accounts.
Solid understanding of the beverage industry (spirits, non-alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, coffee).
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Microsoft Office proficiency; basic social media/content understanding.
Curious, proactive, adaptable, with strong customer focus and ambassadorial mindset.
Location: Based in the Netherlands, The role involves frequent travel across the region (~50%), for which a company car will be provided. Frequent travel across BENELUX, Denmark, Switzerland, and Iceland.
Languages: Fluent English & Knowledge of Dutch would be an advantage.
