Position summary
As Trade Marketing Manager for Western Europe (BENELUX, Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland), you are responsible for driving the execution of MONIN’s trade marketing and activation strategy across the region.
You translate global trade marketing priorities into impactful local plans, ensuring brand consistency while maximizing commercial effectiveness through relevant activations, tools and channel-focused initiatives.
You act as a key business partner for Sales, Beverage Experts, importers and key accounts, combining strong operational execution with analytical rigor and market insight.
You contribute to measuring, enhancing and strengthening the brand’s position and image across the region through trade marketing initiatives and customer activation.
Role & Responsibilities
Global Strategy Alignment:
Ensure high-quality implementation of the Trade Activation strategy across the region.
Ensure brand consistency and protect brand standards.
Assist Global Teams in implementing the Brand Plan and Digital Strategy.
Contribute to the EMEA Trade Plan.
Provide feedback to Global Trade Marketing on local trends, market dynamics, product needs, portfolio gaps, effectiveness of global tools, and channel evolution.
Support local product development requests when relevant.
Regional Marketing:
Present the EMEA Trade Marketing Plan to local importers.
Support importers in building local trade marketing plans aligned with MONIN guidelines.
Define and follow KPIs.
Manage and follow up on allocated trade marketing budgets.
Support Sales Director in market performance analysis.
Develop local push and pull programs adapted to market and channel specificities.
Support product launches.
Coordinate and support regional trade shows and events in collaboration with the Events Manager.
Follow up on local social media content and alignment with HQ strategy.
Activate co-branding initiatives.
Channel & Sales Support:
Support sales teams across key accounts, wholesalers, cash & carry, and e-commerce.
Contribute to activation strategies for bars & restaurants, coffee shops, casual dining & leisure.
Support key account development initiatives with the Sales Director and Beverage Experts.
Training & Capability Building:
Deliver trade marketing training to importers and local teams.
Ensure correct use of trade marketing tools.
Collaborate with Beverage Experts to align activation, education and field execution.
Market Intelligence & Business Analytics:Monitor trends, channels and competitors.
Produce quarterly regional trade marketing and market reports.
Work with Beverage Experts on trend reporting and mix performance analysis.
Translate insights into segment-based activation plans (bars, coffee shops, etc.).
Working environment
Ideally based in the Netherlands, reporting line: Sales Director. Frequent travel across the region (approx. 50%).
Education, Skills, Working Experience and Training Required:
Graduate degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Trade Marketing or Marketing within a B2B environment, ideally in food and beverage.
Project management and execution.
Analytical mindset.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Cross-functional collaboration.
Strong relationship-building ability.
Calm and structured under pressure.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Good understanding of social media and content activation.
Languages: Fluent English and Dutch.
